In this accommodation, situated in a quiet and wide surrounding area, you can enjoy the wonderful rural view of the meadows and of De Lepelaarspoel. The spacious living room has an atmospheric, rural design. Through the folding doors you have a wonderful view of the lands. The modern kitchen is fitted with all modern conveniences. On the first floor you will find a spacious bedroom with a double bed and a wonderful view of the meadows. The second bedroom concerns a real box bed for two persons. There are various activities and places of interest in the surrounding area. The city Schagen with nice shops and a market is nearby. The village Barsingerhorn is a typical Dutch village, just like you have seen on old photo’s. This piece of West Friesland practically looks the same as it looked hundreds of years ago. There are cows, sheep and wonderful old traditional Dutch farmhouses built in the shape of a cheese-cover everywhere. It is a wonderful, rural, quiet location. The ditches are dead straight, the dikes are twisting. From those dikes you can enjoy a wide open view. Lovely little bridges over De Mient lead you to plain houses or wonderful Dutch farmhouses built in the shape of a cheese-cover. Kolhorn is an old fishing village where you can make wonderful round trip- and walking tours (with guide if desired). You will find many restaurants here. Kolhorn is also known for the three summery night markets. During the summer months you can visit the folkloric Westfriese market in the centre of Schagen. Niedorp is known as water sport village. In the villages Winkel and Niedorp flower events are organized in September. You can enjoy late summer with open gardens and activities in the third weekend of August; it attracts thousands of visitors. The recently realized cycle network will show you the way.
