This wonderful detached holiday accommodation, which dates from the thirties, is situated in a quiet surrounding area in one of the oldest places of the Netherlands. Limmen’s main attraction is the Hortus Bulborum, a garden which has over 1500 blooming bulbs in April and May. One of the spring weeks carries the theme flower mosaics. All kinds of paintings and objects made of flowers are exposed throughout the whole village then. The peninsula North Holland is a wonderful cycling- and walking area. Tourist strollers can visit many villages and cities for (cultural) guided tours; the scenic areas, like the dune reserve, are wonderful! The experienced stroller chooses one of the longer routes which cross our region like the Noordzeepad, de Omringdijk or the Noord-Hollandpad. In Alkmaar you can visit the cheese market on Friday.
