Wonderful, atmospheric, detached holiday accommodation for rent on Walcheren. The accommodation is located in the village centre of Grijpskerke and is suitable for max. 4 persons.
The island Walcheren has a very rich history and has wonderful picturesque villages and old cities, harbors and museums. The Veerse Meer (lake) and the Delta Works with amongst others Neeltje Jans are world-famous. Old cities like Middelburg and Veere are definitely worth a visit. In Middelburg you can enjoy Miniature Walcheren and in Veere you can visit the atmospheric harbor or take the ferry across the Veerse Meer. In Vlissingen you can visit, besides the shopping centre, the harbor and the boulevard, the exciting Arsenaal where you may, amongst others, stroke small fishes. Walcheren has a Silk Museum, a Medieval Castle (Westhove), a Maritime Museum and various other museums like the Zeeuws Biological Museum. Between Domburg and Oostkapelle you will find an extensive walking- and cycling area, de Mantelinge, with various wonderful countrysides. There is a good bus connection with all neighboring places and the island offers many restaurants and other places of entertainment. Each village or city has its own weekly market. There are local matches with finals in Summer, fair in Middelburg in Vlissingen and in September the Jazz festival is organized.
The accommodation: On the ground floor: living room (25m2), kitchen-diner (16m2), bedroom with washbasin and double bed (width: 1.40m), side room, shower, toilet and stairs to attic. Here you will find 2 sleeping-places. There are 2 TV’s and 2 radios. Outside you will find a fenced off terrace with southwest-facing garden. Complete kitchen inventory for 4 persons, refrigerator, microwave, centrifuge. A child’s bed and baby chair are present. You should bring your own towels and bed linen. Smoking not allowed.
