Sint-Annaland (the inhabitants call it Stalland) is an atmospheric village, situated at the Krabbenkreek, a dead tributary of the Oosterschelde. The village is situated on the former island Tholen and has about 3500 inhabitants. It has a central location between Antwerp, Rotterdam and the North Sea Coast. The island Tholen is a special island with picturesque cities and villages. The many dikes and narrow polder roads are very suitable for cycling- and walking tours. You can enjoy the surrounding area, amongst others there is the: Pluimpot- and Oosterschelde route, natte laarzentochten (wet boots tours), rammegorsroute and the bomenroute (tree route). It is a perfect operating base to discover the surrounding are and the islands. There are many water sport facilities. Divers, surfers and yachtsmen will definitely amuse themselves here. The island is surrounded by the clear, clean water of the Oosterschelde; a National Park with a rich flora and fauna.
