This nature park is known for its extensive forests and moors, its beautiful fens and the many walking and cycling paths. A few kilometers from this park you will find the Dwingelderveld, with a real sheep herd with shepherd! You can take extensive walks and bike rides here. It is also possible to rent a covered wagon with which you can explore the area in an old-Dutch way. In the early morning and evening, just after or before dusk, shy roe deer and deer can sometimes be admired in their natural environment.
